Undergraduate students

Students in their Sophomore or Junior year may apply for volunteer research positions (with the option of course credit). Usually students are expected to attend lab meetings for one semester before beginning in the laboratory. Contact Dr. Hoyer to determine current openings. Be prepared to provide the following information: Unofficial transcripts, Resume or CV, & Answers to the following questions:
1. What is it about immunology that you find most interesting?
2. Why do you want to join my lab?
3. What do you hope to achieve during your time in my lab?
4. What upper division biology classes have you already taken?
5. When do you plan to take BIO 151?
6. What are your immediate goals/plans after graduation, and when do you expect to graduate?
7. Give me an idea of your available time commitment to the lab for the next two semesters (number of hours and days). I understand that you may not know your schedules for all of these times. Please give as much of this information as you can.
