Here in the Menke group, we are trying to answer two broad
questions. First, how do we prepare solar cells that are
both cheap and efficient? And second, how do we store and
transport the energy that is collected by the solar cells?
To address these questions, we use electrodeposition to
prepare a variety of nanostructures to understand how the
various attributes, such as material, size, shape, and
crystallinity, affect their photovoltaic, catalytic, or
electrochemical properties.
