The summer of 2009 I was the coordinator of the ACS SEED program to UC Merced. The ACS SEED program is a 9 week summer internship for high school students with the primary goal of exposing economically disadvantaged students to chemical research and experience what it’s like being a chemist. During the summer 2009 we had two high school students from Golden Valley High School in Merced participate in research at UC Merced.
