Adoptee Rights Law Center: Legal representation and advocacy for adopted people. Provides information around naturalization, birth certificate access, and other adoption policies and laws.
Beyond Words Psychological Services: Dr. Chaitra Wirta-Leiker offers resources such as children’s books for adoptees and a directory of adoptee mental health professionals by state.
Academic Organizations and Resources
Alliance for the Study of Adoption and Culture: ASAC is an interdisciplinary academic organization that hosts a biennial conference and publishes the Adoption & Culture journal as well as the Formations: Adoption, Culture and Kinship book series.
