This project is funded by the US National Science Foundation and is a collaboration with Brian Popp at the University of Hawai'i. The ETNP plays a pivotal role in marine nitrogen and carbon biogeochemistry and is the largest body of low-oxygen water on Earth; our project comprehensively examines nitrogen biogeochemistry and microbial ecology in this important region.

Our work is ongoing, however more information about our proposed research is available here: http://nsf.gov/awardsearch/showAward.do?AwardNumber=1034943
