Mother, May I? (Alma Villanueva)

Autobiographical poem “that recounts one woman’s life of cyclic change and emergence to wholeness and hope as she redefines love and hope and redefines love and life and reexamines what it means to be female and male, juxtaposing ancient myths and the modern world” (from the backcover of Villlanueva’s Planet with Mother, May I).
