The first section of this book of poems focuses on family, past and present; the second deals with the topic of writing and with the life of an unidentified character referred to as “E.” The final section deals with life in the San Joaquín Valley, and it includes metaliterary and philosophical poems.

La primera parte de este poemario se enfoca en la familia, en la presente generación y en las anteriores. La segunda incluye poemas sobre la escritura y sobre un personaje idenficado sólo como "E". La última sección incluye poemas sobre la vida en el Valle de San Joaquín, así como otros de orientación filosófica y metaliteraria.
