Welcome to the Kueppers lab. We take multiple approaches to studying climate-ecosystem interactions. Projects range from field experiments to study species range shifts in high elevation Rocky Mountain ecosystems to using a regional climate model to estimate the climate impacts of changing land use in California. In general, we take an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to research on land surface contributions to and ecological consequences of climate change.

A faculty member of the Sierra Nevada Research Institute, Professor Kueppers teaches courses in the Earth Systems Science undergraduate major, and is currently seeking graduate students with compatible interests who would like to complete a Ph.D. or M.S. through the Environmental Systems graduate group at UC Merced. Professor Kueppers also has research opportunities at the postdoctoral level (see positions available).

UC Merced spotlights Dr. Kueppers research here.
