I’m happy to announce the start of Season 3 of Leading Lines, a podcast on educational technology co-produced by the Center for Teaching. Our new season launches with an interview with Humberto Garcia, associate professor of English at the University of California at Merced. I met Humberto several years ago when he was teaching at Vanderbilt. Back then, he started experimenting with blogs in his teaching, having students write short posts on a common course blog in lieu of the usual reading respond papers. Humberto kept experimenting with blogs every semester, trying out new ways to use them both outside of class and during class. Humberto moved to UC-Merced a couple of years ago, where he has continued teaching with blogs in creative and intentional ways. I’m really glad to have him on the podcast to talk about his use of course blogs!

You can listen to my conversation with Humberto below, or search for Leading Lines in your favorite podcast app. We have more great interviews lined up for Season 3, so be sure to subscribe!

Leading Lines is produced by the Center for Teaching, the Vanderbilt Institute for Digital Learning, the Office of Scholarly Communications, and the Associate Provost for Digital Learning.
